Sharing a filmed interview – conversation with Joe Brewer, author of the book The Design Pathway for Regenerating Earth and co-founder of Earth Generators http://earthregenerators.org with Andrew Cameron Bailey, Climate Optimist/Inventor at Sacred Earth Enterprises.
Joe speaks of his work in Barichara, Colombia bringing individuals and organizations together to create a regenerative community that is working to restore the land, clean up the water and direct it in its natural flows that will restore climate and create healthy environment for the land and the people.
The project has been documented and a book has been published availing other regions, other communities to follow the path of regeneration in bioregions around the planet. Joe Brewer calls for a spiritual revival of indigenous lifeways combined with the best scientific knowledge about human behavior that brings forth a cultural evolution in service of the dynamic Earth.
Joe is a complexity researcher and transdisciplinary scholar who has devoted his life to helping humanity through the sustainability bottleneck. He weaves insights from the scientific study of cultural evolution, human cognition, and earth system science into frameworks for action. Prior affiliations include the International Centre for Earth Simulation, the Center for Complex Systems Research at the University of Illinois, the Cultural Evolution Society, the Rockridge Institute, and the Evolution Institute.
This presentation is hosted by Rita Marsh, co-founder of The Center for Human Flourishing (TCfHF) in Carbondale, Colorado USA. Joe Brewer and his team of Earth Regenerators were hosted for workshops at TCfHF in November and December 2022 launching the potential of a bioregional project in the Roaring Fork Valley Watershed.
